The "Project BIOMONF". Digital atlas of the biodiversity of the Basso Monferrato hills (Piedmont,Italy). The "Project BIOMONF" which has been developed by the Natural Park of the Sacred Mount of Crea, is directed towards surveying the biodiversity of the norther part of the ecogeographical sector of the Basso Monferrato. The collected data are contained in a data bank which is structured as an atlas. For each species the data reported are the list of identifications, the distribution on the map grid, its picture, its taxonomy and other scientific information. The software offers the possibility of research by taxonomical groups, by territorial ambits and through other keys and provides the opportunity of a scientific and technical instrument for strategic operations of conservation and management of ecosystems and individual species on a local level.
